It's pretty nice right? It's got that old school classic photography feel with the crisp clear technology of a modern DSLR.
It's essentially a compact camera with a large APS-C sensor and a fixed 35mm equivalent field-of-view F2.8 autofocus lens, a 2.7" LCD and 12Mp CMOS sensor with an ISO range of 100 to 3200. Ahhhhh!
But they're so expensive!
The Leica brand just seems to have that charm about it though, people go crazy for Leica cameras old and new.
Last December (2010) a Leica MP2 camera built in 1958 broke records when it was sold for €402,000 at the Westlicht Photographica auction, shooting up from its starting price of €80,000.
That's so much money for a second hand film camera! It was the most expensive Leica ever sold at auction.
Although I'd love to be able to afford it, maybe one day when I'm a millionaire and have money managers like Rowan Dartington looking after all my finances for me, I'll be able to buy a whole load of Leicas!
